English operating and maintenance guidance for 20 kg and 35 kg wheeled ABC dry powder extinguishers used in larger commercial and industrial risk areas.
Operation
Operating Method
- Move the wheeled extinguisher close to the fire and park it on stable ground.
- Remove the spray gun and pull out the discharge hose fully.
- Pull out the safety pin.
- Lift or open the valve handle to pressurize the discharge line.
- Aim the spray gun at the base of the flame and press the gun handle.
- Sweep the powder stream across the fire base until the fire is extinguished.
Instruction
Product overview and application
Wheeled dry powder extinguishers provide larger agent capacity for first-response fire fighting in offices, hotels, malls, workshops, warehouses, fuel storage areas and production sites.
- The 20 kg and 35 kg class units are intended for larger hazard points than portable units.
- ABC dry powder can address initial Class A, Class B and Class C fires.
- Use by trained personnel is recommended because hose handling and positioning affect performance.
Instruction
Main structure and working principle
The extinguisher includes a trolley frame, cylinder, valve head, pressure indicator, hose, spray gun, ABC dry powder agent and driving gas. Opening the valve allows the pressurized gas to drive powder through the hose and spray gun.
- The hose should be fully extended before discharge.
- The trolley must stay stable during use.
- The spray gun controls direction and discharge at the fire base.
Instruction
Storage and routine inspection
Store the unit in a dry and accessible position. Protect it from rain, direct sunlight, corrosive gas and high temperature.
- Check the wheels, frame, hose fixing device and spray gun holder.
- Verify the pressure indicator, seal, pin and nameplate condition.
- Keep the movement path clear so the unit can be deployed quickly.
Maintenance
Service and Maintenance Checks
- Use an authorized maintenance organization for repair and recharge.
- Inspect the cylinder interior after safe depressurization and disassembly.
- Check wheels, frame, hose, spray gun, valve, pressure indicator and all sealing parts.
- Hydrostatically test eligible pressure parts according to nameplate pressure and applicable standards.
- Replace damaged hoses, spray guns, seals, valve parts and pressure indicators.
- Recharge only with approved dry powder agent and specified driving gas.
Safety
Important Safety Notes
- Do not invert the cylinder during use.
- Keep the cylinder tilt within 45 degrees from vertical during discharge.
- Keep at least 1 m distance when fighting energized equipment fires, then disconnect power.
- Do not drag the hose across sharp edges or hot surfaces.
